This wall sculpture was hand recrafted from reclaimed tin and copper alloy pipes (plumber solder). Filipe soldered reclaimed pipes and pewter and allowed the metal to flow like molten, spreading randomly and radially to create this effect. The piece is reminiscent of the surface of the moon and is in the abstract expressionist style. It was welded by an emerging recrafter Filipe based in London who is originally from Portugal.
Filipe comes from a plumbing and construction background. He is also skillful with wood. He is based at the Vintage and Antiques shop - London Carboot Online. This artwork would be a statement piece for an ultra contemporary interior. It would also be a fitting gift for Space enthusiasts.
